One of the finest Premier Cru sites of Savigny-lès-Beaune, Guillaume farms a single 0.3 hectare parcel in Les Lavières. Renowned for its elegance and finesse, the vineyard’s deep, fine alluvial soils, dense clay with a subsoil of chalk limestone combined with a south-east exposure, give wines of remarkable precision and balance. The vines were planted in 1961.

The wine is seductive yet beautifully restrained. Bright cherry and strawberry fruit lead the nose and palate, delivering a pure, crunchy red fruit profile. Fresh, energetic and vibrant, the terroir shines clearly through. Supple tannins frame the wine effortlessly, whilst the explosive, salivating finish leaves a lasting impression of finesse and poise.
Aged in a combination of 228 litre barrels and 500 litre foudres, with no new oak.
