This Australian wine has a deep carmine colour. A complex bouquet, exuding fragrances of ripe fruits, exotic spices, espresso, bitter chocolate but also rhubarb, fermented tea, fennel, liquorice and polished leather. Cherry, blackberries, currants, candied grape, pink pepper are all flavours that harmoniously combine within a palate whose balance between a beautiful tannic structure and a delicate acidity provides tension and complexity.
Perfectly suited to richly flavoured dishes, this Shiraz pairs beautifully with slow-cooked beef, game meats, veal or duck breast. It also complements earthy vegetarian options such as mushroom risotto or aubergine parmigiana.
